4vs4 League 9 Discussion

Well for many people it would be nice to launch it during DSBL12, but for others it obviously isn't. :/

Regardless of what is being decided the database should be made.

None of us want it exactly like Premier. But we want to use the good aspects of that league. Some people seems to be against that and want an unorganized suicide ramble like DSBL.

lol@moronfools, what seperates dsb from svs will still be there even if u keep the deathlimit at 3 (or 4 or w/e) and mimmic nr. of specials, i know this because you newbies can get kills in dsb by suiciding whereas in svs you get chokeslammed. We've already seen a skilless newbfest go down (hello babl), lets atleast have ONE league in dsb require some resemblance of skill

We are open to new map submissions.

If you want to make a new 4v4 map, please make it and send it to
Entr0py_dsb@hotmail.com. There is a very good chance your map or elements
of it will be incorporated into a new 4v4 map.

Its not such a big deal anyway even if we played with 4 deaths per round. But I prefer 10 deaths although. Some ppl like to kami in 4v4 league, but im not supporting that.

Open the league database?

Any thought on when it will begin? During or after league?

The league database will be opened in a week or so. Depending on several things. Roughly the league could begin second or third week of March. Most likely we will start the league during DSBL so we can have nice summer vacation as well.

Unfortunately the opening of that database is not up to me. If I could do it I would do it sooner. We just need to wait that our database provider has time to handle our requests.

Because of this little delay, the beginning of 4v4 will be postponed to the beginning of March.

Just write a mail to him about opening the database as soon as the old ones ends. That way he has several months to get it done.

Sorry everybody, we are having some problems getting up the database. We will do our best to get it up as soon as possible. Once the database is up, 4 weeks to sign up your squad and then its game time!

Unfortunately it looks like the map will not change. Only one map has been submitted. I think we are staying with the old map.

I will post the rest of the details on their own thread later.
